Such Things Are Not Worth It: -(Chapter-2) [Part-2]: –

When we were going with the investigation, we did arrest a few people who owned M4 Carbines. However, given the lenient gun laws, we only gave a sentence of 1000 hours of community service. This type of punishment was given only due to the possession of M4 Carbines since M4 Carbines are not supposed to be owned by civilians.

In order to get forward with our case, we decided to investigate more so that we could more information on the case. Just arresting civilians for the possession of rifles was not the key. We had to undertake a solid investigation and find the culprit.

Just as we were about to start investigating, we heard that a person had been shot. He was the local shootist who owned a gun shooting ranch and operated one of the largest gun dealerships in the country. When we started investigating that, we heard that another gun collector was also shot down.

We were a bit confused but we decided to keep on investigating further. Besides, we also issued notices to all the gun owners and gun enthusiasts to keep themselves safe and subscribe to doorstep services instead of normal services and we also had them practice firearms within their own properties and not in public ranches. Moreover, we also asked local police to patrol the areas where gun owners lived so as to help them with safety and we also made sure to keep an eye on gun haters so as to see if they showed any inclination towards causing serious harm to any gun enthusiasts.

Then, we got the news that some anti-gun protests had erupted and then we decided to ask the local police to shoot tear gas at those protestors and disperse them but at the same time trap them and put them in handcuffs so as to ask them who had triggered the protests. They then revealed that if their protest is not acknowledged then the school will be attacked. Just as we locked up the protestors, we got the news that the community school building had been attacked by armed intruders and there was fire that had been set to the entrances to prevent police forces from entering. What was most dangerous about that situation was that the fire was fueled by a propane pipeline that supplied propane for heating purposes. I tried to contact the propane company but surprisingly they were not picking up the call. It was now evident that the same people had sent their gangs to the propane distribution station and were having the propane pumped to the site.

Now, we had to handle both these situations simultaneously so I decided to give a call to my IPS officer friend and told him about the situation. He told us that he will be arriving with a team of commandos from the Garuda Force of the Karnataka State Police who were working with the INTERPOL and they would raid the propane distribution station and stop the fire and then we could raid. We also decided to keep suppressing the fire to the best of our capacity so as to at least prevent the smoke from causing suffocation.

My cousin gave our team the authorization and told: “Kids, now raid the school from the storm water drain and then emerge from the garden. Then walk over to the rear entrance from where you can take down the targets. Quick, be armed with your Corner-Shots and MP9 machine pistols.”

We did as he instructed and then finally flew through the glass doors of the school entrance. Then we ran through the school building and then we shot all the 10 attackers. The ordeal was over in less than 5 minutes and both, the students and the staff were safe. Just as I finished taking down the attackers, my friend was able to clear out the attackers at the propane station and thus shut down the propane supply thereby putting out the fire. We then gave authorization to all fire trucks and ambulances to advance into the school and told them to keep oxygen tanks ready as some of the hostages were completely suffocated. We also asked the local municipality to bring in some air compressors that were able to eject out trapped smoke from some parts of the school.

Still, we had to find that dangerous criminal who was behind this, but let us do that in part-3 of chapter-2.
